Why Do We Need the Giga Eis Arena?

Berlin’s existing ice arenas are too few, always overcrowded, and often closed during spring and summer. Those that remain open are outdated and lack modern facilities. The available inline hockey halls are in poor condition, leaving players with no viable alternatives. For Brandenburg residents, commuting to these limited facilities is impractical and time-consuming. The Giga Eis Arena will solve these problems by providing a modern, year-round, multi-purpose ice sports facility that’s accessible to everyone in the region, fostering youth development and growing the sport.
